FAQ's
What will it cost?
Like most clubs and sports at Campbell County High, there are fees or dues associated with being in Marching Band. These fees range from section to section, year to year, and group to group. So check with your directors about what costs are for you. These costs offset the cost of travel, uniforms, music, drill, instructors, clothing, special circumstances, props, etc. Most, if not all, costs can be offset by fundraising or donations!
Time?
The band programs have a substantial time commitment. How much? That is dependent on which groups you are a part of. The marching band will practice 2.5 weeks before the school year starts. After school starts, the students will stay every Tuesday and Thursday until at least 5:00pm. We will attend every football game and participate in upwards of 4 competitions each season. We will also have homecoming parades, Veteran's Day parades, and winter holiday parades. All of this time contributes to the winning culture and legacies that Campbell County Bands have produced!
Parents?
Parents are not required to help. However, the more parents we have, the more things we are able to do! Without parents, we cannot build or transport equipment. Parents keep the "wheels moving" in our program! Please consider helping our parent crew grow with like-minded individuals who love to give service back to those who deserve it most....YOUR KIDS!
